Ana is a designer, researcher, and educator. Her research focuses on the creation and use of sustainable materials in landscape design and construction considering deep time and natural resources. While bridging material and territorial scales she is developing future-orientated climate-resilient landscape and urban strategies. Ana is a co-founder of the platform Amphibious Lab, which focuses on dynamic landscapes and their interfaces with anthropogenic environments. The work of the practice has received awards like the Holcim award for Sustainable construction and has been exhibited and the Venice Biennale.
As a Chartered Landscape Architect, she has led design and research teams from winning design concepts at several international competitions while working with internationally recognized practices like Gustafson Porter + Bowman and Turenscape, as well as delivered projects through all stages to completion, including the prestigious Chelsea Barracks, and post-Olympic development International Quarter London.
In 2018, Ana was one of the key people who formed two new Landscape Architecture courses (MA and MLA) at the Bartlett School of Architecture, where, since then, she taught Design Studios and Technology & Environment modules. Besides that, she has lectured at the leading global architectural and design institutions including the Architectural Association, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Virginia, and Harvard GSD.
